(Formerly HB part B)
Mandatory Module valid for Grof Transpersonal Training in Holotropic Breathwork

In this module we will explore the necessary elements to create of a Holotropic Breathwork session.

We will discuss important aspects of preparation, the necessary components to conduct sessions, paying special attention to music, and the integration. We will listen to a wide variety of music for the different phases of experiences in expanded states of consciousness, immersing ourselves in an exciting and transformative journey through the world of music.

Experientially we will journey through sound and rhythm. Music has always been a vital for creation, as well as a spiritual tool of transformation. It is even said about music, that it is the language of the soul. This is a unique opportunity to learn, first hand, the structure of the music that makes Holotropic Breathwork so special.

The module covers:

1. The creation of the holotropic context.

2. Music in the context of Holotropic Breathwork: history, theory and practice.

3. Use of music in expanded states of consciousness. Detailed explanation of the structure of the music, demonstration of specific pieces.

4. Explanation and demonstration of the relaxation.

5. The sharing group:

  •  Philosophy.
  • Challenging situations for the facilitator.

6. Integration: Importance and methods

7. Technical aspects of music: quality and sound equipment.

8. Practical information about conducting workshops: place, prices, promotion, brochures and types of workshops.

9. Facilitator self-care.

In this module the participants have the opportunity to know the practical experience of Holotropic Breathwork. The sessions will be directed by Sitara Blasco, Marc Aixalà, Juanjo Segura and the GTT team. During the six days of the module each participant will have the experience four sessions of Holotropic Breathwork, two as "breather" and two as "sitter". How is a Grof Transpersonal Training module

The module will start on August 16th at 9:30 in the morning and it will end on Agusut 21st at lunch time. Please, we beg you to plan your travel in order to start on time.

During the 6-days module, four HB sessions will be done. Each participant will have the experience of two sessions as a "breather", and two sessions as "carer". In addition to the four HB experiences and the theoretical presentations, during the module there will be arts, music, movies and group integration.

Groups are international, both GTT staff and participants come from different parts of the world. All GTT modules are given in English with a very fluid translation into Spanish. Being in Spain we also have a large number of Spanish participants. It is an experience of deep and respectful work, but the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Meals are buffet style, very abundant and of excellent quality and variety, suited for vegetarians and no-vegetarians. Climate in Spain is usually mild and often the weather allows for meals in the outside gardens and terraces.

Breathwork is intended as a personal growth experience and should not be looked upon as a substitute for psychotherapy. Holotropic Breathwork can involve dramatic experiences accompanied by strong emotional and physical release.

This workshop is not appropriate for pregnant women, or for persons with cardiovascular problems, severe hypertension, some diagnosed psychiatric conditions, recent surgery or fractures, acute infectious illness or epilepsy, or active spiritual emergency.

If you have any doubt about whether you should participate, it is essential that you consult your physician or therapist as well as the workshop organizers before attending.
